The Solution: Smart Lockers Powered by Odoo We realized a custom IoT solution where the company's storage lockers are directly controlled by Odoo. Each compartment in the locker system is managed by an embedded Linux system that communicates in real-time with the ERP.
How the Workflow Works:
- Authentication: At the start of a shift, the employee scans their RFID badge at the locker.
- Validation: Our control software queries Odoo instantly to validate the employee's ID and permissions.
- Action: If authorized, the specific compartment opens automatically.
- Logging: Every event (Opening, Closing, Terminal Removed, Terminal Returned) is registered in Odoo.
Real-Time Visibility All field activities are stored in Odoo and reported to management in real-time. You know exactly who has which device and since when. This increases accountability and ensures equipment availability.
